The Members of BOYNEXTDOOR

BOYNEXTDOOR is a group of six talented members, each bringing their own distinct abilities and personalities to the team.

Jaehyun (Myung Jae-hyun)

As the leader of the group, Jaehyun (Myung Jae-hyun) brings playful energy and leadership to the group. He was a trainee at YG Entertainment, even scouted by a hip hop label and his talents shine through his performances. Jaehyun introduces himself as the “doggy” of the group due to his affectionate personality, which claimed his spot as an MC of “M Countdown,” along with ZEROBASEONE Sung Hanbin and RIIZE Sohee🐶

Sungho

Sungho is the oldest member of the group and one of the lead vocalists of BOYNEXTDOOR. He was the first member to join KOZ entertainment and has a meticulous personality, setting strict boundaries for himself – although Sungho loves cafe hopping! His fox-like facial features and his long hairstyle along with his wide shoulders are just some of his charming points🦊

Riwoo

As the group’s main dancer, Riwoo captures the audience with explosive stage charisma and exceptional dance skills. He has the ability to choreograph his own parts as well as giving stable live vocals on stage. Riwoo is introverted and loves playing games in his room as well as eating desserts. His shy and cute personality is brought out in their lives/content🦦

Taesan

Taesan is known for his expressions on stage and his creativity as a songwriter. He is a member who trained for the longest time, starting out his training at SOURCE Music when he was still in elementary school. You can often find Taesan starting off the group’s songs with his unique vocals and fashion. He has a very playful and honest personality whilst having a stable mindset, rarely getting nervous or crying⛰️

Leehan

Leehan is often mentioned as the visual of the group. Some of his charming points are his goofy/affectionate personality and his attractive low voice. Known for his love towards fish, he owns 3 fish tanks in his room in Busan and his favorite fish is Cory catfish. As he is from Busan, the large port city of Korea, he enjoys marine sports like swimming and surfing🐠

Woonhak

Lastly we have Woonhak, the maknae of BOYNEXTDOOR. He is called the stage genius amongst fans, proven by his expressions on stage and his stable vocals along with his songwriting abilities. His gullible and bubbly personality makes him a perfect maknae that is adored by his hyungs. Fun fact, Woonhak is the first male idol to debut in the 06-line!🧸

Overall, the chemistry between the BOYNEXTDOOR members is one of the group’s greatest strengths.

BOYNEXTDOOR’s Musical Journey

BOYNEXTDOOR’s music is a mix of rock, pop and hip-hop, with themes of first love, heartbreak, and growing up. Their “First Love” album trilogy and their recent album “19.99” explore personal experiences, reflecting the transition from teens to adulthood. The group’s authenticity shines through, with Jaehyun, Taesan and Woonhak contributing to songwriting and infusing their relatable personal stories into the music.

As Woonhak said, “When I thought about turning 20, I felt both fear and pressure because I thought I had to mature quickly. I discussed these worries with the members and the agency’s producers, and such thoughts that only those our age can have were naturally incorporated into the album,” and Taesan added, “We try to put many of our own stories into our songs. Even when the tracks don’t contain direct personal experiences, we exert efforts to create music that can resonate with listeners in their 10s and 20s.” creating a deep connection with their fans.

BOYNEXTDOOR’s Albums & Merch

BOYNEXTDOOR albums are packed with exclusive content. Their debut, “WHO!” comes in three distinct versions: the WHO Ver., Crunch Ver., and Weverse Ver.. WHO version includes fun merch like a random set of photocards (random 3 out of 12), a postcard, a paper airplane, and a mini poster—while the Crunch version adds a sticker book and a folded poster for extra fun, and the Weverse version offers a trading card set and another unique photocard. 

The 1st EP, “WHY!” also comes in three versions: Random Ver., Weverse Ver., and Letter Ver.. The Random version is packed with a photo book, postcard, folded poster, photocards, unit photocard, film photo, and a letter sticker, giving fans plenty of surprises to discover. The Weverse version has an answer book and unique MV photocard, while the Letter version brings a creative twist, with stickers, a lyrics folded poster, an envelope, a photo print, a postcard, and a photocard.

2nd EP, “HOW?”” introduces four versions: Sticker Ver., Standard Ver., Weverse Ver., and KiT Ver.. Sticker version includes an envelope, a sticker book, a polaroid, a photocard, and a door hanger to go with the theme of the record—while, the Standard version offers themes based on earth, wind, and fire, that affect the style of the inclusions like the photo book, the photocard, the postcard, the meme card, the 4-cut photo, and the folded poster. Finally, the Weverse version has an MV photocard and ID card, while the KiT version features an air-kit, a trailer film selfie photocard, a complete set of photocards, a title and credit card, as well as a postcard. 

BOYNEXTDOOR’s most recent 3rd EP, “19.99,” continues the journey with its Clink Ver., Weverse Ver., and Standard Ver. The Clink version includes a fun keyring card, a sticker, a MV photocard, and lyric cards, while the Weverse version has stickers and a unique baby photocard. What’s more, the Standard version comes with themed options—nice, dangerous, or twenty—and includes a photo book, lyric book, 2 photocards, a photo print, an ID card, and a folded poster!
