Le Sserafim (Korean: 르세라핌) is a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music under Hybe, currently consisting of Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae. They debuted on May 2, 2022, with the EP Fearless and quickly rose to fame with Antifragile, selling over a million copies and becoming the fastest K-pop girl group to enter the US Billboard 200. History (2011~2025)
2011~2021
Before debuting with Le Sserafim, each member built unique experience in music and performance. Sakura Miyawaki began her career in 2011 as an actress and joined the Japanese idol group HKT48, where she performed for 10 years before graduating in 2021. Kim Chaewon and Huh Yunjin gained attention on the reality show Produce 48 in 2018 — Sakura and Chaewon debuted in IZ*ONE, while Yunjin finished 26th. Kazuha trained as a professional ballerina in countries like the Netherlands, Russia, and the UK before being scouted by Bang Si-hyuk. Hong Eunchae trained at Def Dance School and joined Source Music in 2021 after auditioning for several agencies.
2022
In 2022, Le Sserafim officially launched under Source Music and Hybe, with Sakura Miyawaki and Kim Chaewon as the first revealed members. The group debuted on May 2, 2022, with their first EP Fearless, which sold over 380,000 pre-orders and earned them their first music show win just eight days later. Before debut, member Kim Garam faced school bullying accusations and eventually left the group in July, making Le Sserafim a five-member team. In October, they released their second EP Antifragile, which reached #14 on the Billboard 200, becoming the fastest K-pop girl group to debut on the chart. 2023
In 2023, Le Sserafim grew their global presence with new music and international projects. They made their Japanese debut on January 25 with the single Fearless, featuring Japanese versions of their songs and a new track, Choices, used as the theme for the drama 3000 Yen: How to Enrich Life. On May 1, they released their first studio album, Unforgiven, and later launched their first concert tour, Flame Rises, in August. They followed with the Japanese single Unforgiven and the original song Jewelry. In 2024, Le Sserafim continued their global rise with major releases and performances. Their third EP, Easy, debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200, with the title track entering the Billboard Hot 100 at #99. In April, they performed at Coachella with Nile Rodgers, debuting 1-800-Hot-N-Fun. In August, they released their fourth EP, Crazy, along with English versions and remixes featuring PinkPantheress, David Guetta, and Dashaun Wesley. The group won PUSH Performance of the Year at the MTV VMAs and Best Push at the MTV EMAs, and released their third Japanese single Crazy with the pre-release song Star Signs, highlighting their growing global influence.
2025
In 2025, Le Sserafim kept building their global presence with new music and performances. They released their fifth EP, Hot, on March 14, along with English versions and remixes of the title track. The group launched their first world tour, the Easy Crazy Hot Tour, starting in Incheon on April 19. They also released their fourth Japanese single, Different, on June 24. In September, Le Sserafim performed on America’s Got Talent, collaborated with Japanese duo Yoasobi on The Noise, and announced new music for October. Since 2023, Le Sserafim has partnered with top brands and luxury labels, boosting their global influence. They became models for Vita 500 Zero and Goobne, and were named Louis Vuitton house ambassadors, wearing custom outfits at Coachella 2024.
