Meet KiiiKiii: The New K-Pop Sensation Making Waves

The Start of KiiiKiii

On February 10th, 2025, Starship Entertainment (a.k.a. the company behind some of K-Pop’s biggest names, like IVE, SISTAR, Cravity, and MONSTA X) officially introduced their newest girl group, KiiiKii—and they definitely didn’t hold back. Instead of just dropping a basic press release, Starship went all out, launching KiiiKiii’s official social media accounts and immediately getting the internet talking when they teamed up with a bunch of content creators on Instagram.

This creative concept worked and created a wave of hype. Some of the creators included a pencil carver, nail artists, and even a creator who bedazzled a tumbler with the group’s name. Fans were hooked right away, thanks to the series of eye-catching videos that gave just enough hints about the group’s concept without giving too much away. With such a well-planned rollout, it’s clear that Starship Entertainment sees something very special in this group.

Meet the Members

Leesol (Lee Su-min)

Born on September 18th, 2005, Leesol is KiiiKiii’s main rapper and the oldest member. Having trained for three years, fans are excited to see her charismatic and chic presence in the group.

Jiyu

Born on May 14th, 2006, Jiyu is an all-rounder idol, being the group’s vocalist, rapper, dancer and leader. At just 18, she leads the group with precision and confidence, making her a strong pillar of KiiiKiii.

Sui (Lee Subin)

Also born in 2006, on April 10th, Sui is a vocalist that adds emotional depth and rich vocal color. Many netizens have already commented on the KiiiKiii’s unique vocal tones and well-made concept.

Haum

Another 2006-liner, born on November 14th, Haum is a vocalist and rapper described as an expressive dancer. She has a cat-like visual appeal, which adds to her distinctive charm on stage.

Kya (Park Jiwoo)

Born on December 18th, 2010, Kya is the youngest member (maknae) at just 14 years old. She brings fresh and vibrant energy to KiiiKiii with her impressive vocals and stage presence. 

With their unique talents, viral visuals, and distinct sound, it’s no surprise that KiiiKiii is one of K-Pop’s hottest 2025 debuts!

Building Anticipation

Even before their official debut, KiiiKiii has been making a strong impression with their pre-release track “I Do Me” from their upcoming album “Uncut Gem,” dropped on February 16th. Instead of relying on flashy special effects, KiiiKiii took a cinematic approach, letting their natural charm shine against the breathtaking New Zealand mountains in the background. It’s clear that KiiiKiii isn’t just here to follow trends – they’re here to set them. 

The hype surrounding KiiiKiii has only intensified after their feature in Elle Korea, where they showcased their striking visuals in a high-fashion spread.  Starship Entertainment has officially confirmed that KiiiKiii will make their full debut in March, with their EP set to drop in the coming weeks.

So far, the response to KiiiKiii has been overwhelmingly positive—not just from fans but also from industry insiders who are praising their fresh sound. The Hollywood Reporter described their song as” a continuation of the Y2K nostalgia that has been dominating K-Pop the past few years—(while) feeling like a breath of fresh air. The song is infectiously catchy, a fitting soundtrack for a slumber party or an outdoor adventure.” What’s more, KiiiKiii dropped their second pre-release track, “DEBUT SONG,” on Sunday evening, which has been met with equal excitement. There’s no doubt that expectations for KiiiKiii are high, but the group seems more than ready to rise to the challenge.
