2016~2019
Before joining STAYC, Sieun was known as the daughter of singer Park Nam-jung and for acting in dramas like The Good Wife, Queen for Seven Days, and The Crowned Clown. She also won the Youth Acting Award at the 2018 SBS Drama Awards for Still 17. Seeun was recognized for her roles in The Guardians and Circle. Before their official debut, the group was called “High Up Girls”, named after their company, High Up Entertainment.
2020
In November 2020, STAYC made their debut with the single album Star to a Young Culture, featuring the lead single “So Bad”, produced by Black Eyed Pilseung. From 2021 to 2022, STAYC released several hit albums and singles that grew their popularity. In April 2021, they appeared in the YouTube docuseries K-Pop Evolution and released their second single album Staydom with the lead track “ASAP”, which got 20 million views in nine days and charted on the Billboard K-pop 100. In September 2021, their first EP Stereotype came out, with the title track’s music video reaching 30 million views in 21 days, and the group earned their first music show win on SBS MTV’s The Show.
In February 2022, STAYC released their second EP Young-Luv.com with the lead single “Run2U”, which debuted at #1 on the Gaon Album Chart, and the single reached #4 on the Gaon Digital Chart. Since debuting, STAYC has earned numerous awards and nominations, gaining recognition both in South Korea and internationally.
