UNIS (유니스) is a South Korean girl group created by F&F Entertainment through the reality show Universe Ticket. The group has eight members: Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona, and Seowon. They officially debuted on March 27, 2024, with their first mini-album We Unis. The name UNIS represents the happiness shared between the group and their fans. It comes from the fairy tale ending phrase “Happily ever after,” which means “they lived happily ever after.”
History (2023~2025)
2023
UNIS was formed through the SBS survival show Universe Ticket (Nov 2023–Jan 2024), which brought together 82 contestants from countries like South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, and the Philippines to compete for a spot in a multinational girl group. Several members had prior experience in the entertainment industry: Hyeonju debuted with Good Day and later Cignature, Seowon appeared on Miss Trot 2 and debuted as a soloist, Yoona joined the YouTube group Play With Me Club, and Nana competed in Who Is Princess? before debuting with Prikil. Their diverse backgrounds helped shape UNIS into a talented, internationally appealing group.
2024
UNIS debuted on March 27, 2024, with their first EP We Unis and the lead single “Superwoman.” They made a comeback on August 6 with their first single album Curious, featuring the title track of the same name. Later that year, the group premiered their first solo reality show, Unibus Tour, on September 24, and their single “Curious” was listed on Billboard Philippines’ “50 Best Songs of 2024.” This year marked a successful debut and growing recognition for UNIS.
2025
UNIS made their comeback on April 15, 2025, with the EP Swicy and its lead single, earning their first music show win on MBC M’s Show Champion on April 23. They kicked off their first fancon Asia tour, performing in Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, and later the Philippines. During this period, they also released fan-focused digital singles, including “See You in My Dream” and a collaboration with Japanese singer noa titled “Shaking My Head.” UNIS continued expanding internationally with their first Japanese digital single “Moshi Moshi ♡ (もしもし♡)”, showcasing their growing success and global appeal.
Awards
Since their debut, UNIS has gained widespread recognition for their music and popularity. In 2024, they won awards such as the Asia Model Awards’ Popular Star Award (Singer), Brand of the Year Awards’ Best Female Rookie, K-World Dream Music Icon Award, Korean Culture and Entertainment Awards’ K-pop Award, MAMA Fans’ Choice Female, and Philippine K-pop Awards’ Rookie of the Year. They were also nominated for several major awards, including the Asia Artist Awards’ Popularity Award (Female Singer) and Asian Pop Music Awards’ Best New Artist (Overseas).
In 2025, UNIS continued their success, winning titles like Brand Customer Loyalty Awards’ Most Influential Female Idol, Brand of the Year Awards’ Female Idol, D Awards’ Dreams Silver Label and Discovery of the Year, and the Upick Girl Group Popularity Award. They also received nominations at prestigious events such as the Golden Disc Awards, Seoul Music Awards, and VP Choice Awards.

Concerts & Tours
In October 2024, UNIS held fan concerts in the Philippines called Unis in Curiousland. They performed in Quezon City at the New Frontier Theater on October 25 and in Cebu City at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel on October 26, giving fans a chance to see them perform live and enjoy their hit songs.
