Plot Synopsis

King the Land is about Gu Won, the heir of a luxury hotel group, who gets caught up in a battle over his inheritance. He meets Cheon Sa-rang, a cheerful hotel worker who always smiles until she crosses paths with Gu Won, and their lives begin to change.

Audience Ratings

King the Land was a hit on JTBC, a South Korean cable channel. All 16 episodes, which aired from June 17 to August 6, 2023, ranked first in viewership. Nationwide ratings ranged from about 5% to 14%, with Seoul ratings slightly higher, averaging around 10–11%. The series’ highest-rated episode was the finale, while the lowest was the first weekend.
