Their first release since 2021 is the single “Welcome To The Show,” a track that explodes with energy, and it’s accompanied by a mini-album titled “Fourever.” This comeback marks a new chapter for the band as a four-piece after Jae’s departure in 2021. From 5LIVE to DAY6: A New Beginning
DAY6’s journey to K-Pop stardom began differently than most. Originally a five-member group called 5LIVE, Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Junhyeok, and Wonpil even released a song together in 2014! Interestingly, some members even competed on a show with future stars from WINNER and iKON.
In mid-2015, things shifted with the addition of drummer Dowoon, solidifying the band we know today as DAY6. The name change could symbolize a fresh start or highlight the importance of all six members. Finally, in September 2015, DAY6 officially debuted with their EP “The Day” and the hit song “Congratulations.”
Fast forward to 2024! Originally a five-member group, Jae departed from DAY6 in 2021. However, the remaining talented members – Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon – haven’t missed a beat. They recently made a powerful comeback in 2024 with the single “Welcome To The Show” and their mini-album “Fourever,” proving their staying power in the K-Pop scene.
