New Minion Movie Features a BTS Fan

Like BTS, minions also boast an impressive level of global recognition. If you didn’t know already, minions are the mischievous yellow henchmen from Illumination Studio’s popular animated film series, Despicable Me. The franchise has been so successful that a fourth movie will be theatrically released on July 3rd, once again following supervillain-turned-agent Gru as he fights an evil mastermind with the help of his family and minions.

To fans’ delight, one of the new characters, Poppy Prescott, was revealed to be an ARMY in the teaser when a poster of BTS’s “Butter” is shown on her bedroom wall. It’s likely that this connection naturally sparked the studio’s creative collaboration with BTS.
